Melissa Anne Blow, 70, died at home after a long illness with her husband, Leo A. Blow, Jr., by her side.

Melissa was born in Nashua on September 5, 1950. Daughter of the late Robert Earl Jr. and Irene (Reynolds) Lovejoy. Melissa grew up in Nashua and attended the Sacred Heart School of St.

Saint-Patrick’s Church. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1968. Later in her life, she attended Rivier College as part of the two-year paralegal program. Melissa started her career at Nashua Corporation in Nashua in the International Exports Department and then moved to the Label Division. She enjoyed her time at Nashua Corporation; this allowed him to travel the country for the company. Later in her career, Melissa worked for Oxford Health Company as an enrollment specialist.

Melissa was married to Leo A. Blow, Jr. on June 5, 1971 and was very proud to celebrate her 50th wedding anniversary on June 5, 2021. It was Leo’s greatest honor and privilege to come through life with Melissa by his side .

In her spare time, she indulged in many hobbies such as knitting, painting on canvas, being deeply involved in family ancestors, and playing card games on Saturday nights with her husband and cousins.

Melissa excelled at anything she tried and always stepped in to help, whether it was as a canoe mother for Little League or as a member of the Cubs Board of Directors for a Cub pack in the Algonquin District.

She loved and cared about her family and friends very much and will be missed by all.

Melissa was predeceased by her son, Michael A. Blow, and only brother, Robert Earl Lovejoy, Ill.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Leo A. Blow, Jr., her son, Sean P. Blow, her grandson, Noah Patenaude of Tyngsboro, MA, granddaughter, Payton Blow, of Mont Vernon, NH, an aunt, Bernice Piercy, her close cousins, Rebecca Urbiel, Mary-Ellen Wells, Martha Piercy, Emily Huxtable and Kelsey Aletti and many friends and acquaintances.

All services will take place in private. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Nashua, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Melissa’s name at Home, Health, and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
