His heart for Israel and the Jewish people was boundless. In the fall of 2000, she made her first trip to Israel while touring with a local Christian radio station. Mixed with passion and love of art, she began to create watercolors of various Jewish subjects. A culmination of this passion was when she qualified for a special seminar organized by the Yad Vashem Holocaust Education Foundation, Jerusalem, Israel, for one month. She was licensed to be an educator for Holocaust studies in the United States. Over the next few years, she made 23 trips to Israel, where she has many friends. She was looking forward to her next trip.
Kathleen had great respect for these men and women who served their country in the armed forces. A local Christian publication, “Prime Life Times”, offered him an opportunity. For two years, she interviewed veterans about their experiences, then created the story, which was published monthly. In all, 24 veterans graciously accepted the call to share their experiences. In the near future, these stories will be published and made available to the public via Great News Radio.
Services for Kathleen will be held in the spring. Cremation arrangements were made at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1102 Churchill Road, Muhammad, IL 61853.
