Barbara Anne Necklace
July 28, 1932 – November 5, 2021
Barbara Ann was born in Watsonville, California to Timothy and Ludvina (Silveira) Bordges, she was called to her heavenly home at the age of 89.
Barbara Ann is predeceased by her husband Mack L. Collier and their three sons Charles R. Collier, Thomas T. Chasen, Steven A. Chasen; grandson L. Bryan Sax and his brother Gerald L. Bordges. Barbara leaves behind her daughter Robyn L. and Leonard J. Sax; son Michael F. Collier; granddaughters Alice Collier, Becky Gyorgy, Karrie Fieri, Rachelle Sax Voight, Brooke Collier, Stephenie Tilman, Colleen Grossman and 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Barbara and Mack left Fremont, California in 1976 to be closer to their family who had all moved to El Dorado County.
Barbara Ann was her own entrepreneur and well known as the Pickled Garlic Lady. Her family business Barbara Ann’s Jams & Jellies was well known in Apple Hill and El Dorado County, earning her the nickname Apple Grandma.
Barbara’s other interest was fishing which earned her the nickname Fishing Grandma and her other interest was rock painting which also gave her the nickname Rock Grandma.
We will all remember Barbara for her strong will and love for her family and friends.
Barbara’s family invites you to their celebration of life on February 17, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Green Valley Church, 3500 Missouri Flat Road, Placerville.
